Round 2 of the #knotgames2018

After the overwhelming number of amazing entries for the first round of the #knotgames2018, we’re proud to announce the details of the second round.

Round 2: Matching Sets

The brief is to create a matching set of paracord items.  You MUST make a bracelet and a key ring, the third item however can be whatever you want, as long as the three items co-ordinate as a matching set.

You can use any weave or combination of knots.  We want you to be as creative as possible.  Here’s an example of a matching set created by the highly talented @straightupparacord on Instagram.

We will be judging on creativity, wear ability and how well they match as a set.

The competition starts today, Friday the 9th of March 2018 and ends on Sunday the 1st of April 2018.  There will be an amateur and a professional winner, who will be announced by Friday the 6th of April 2018.

@knotparacord – Me, the creator of KNOT Paracord online paracording magazine and avid paracorder

@krugeredc – A very talented and experienced paracorder from Sweden who works in Kenya and raises money for Rhino conservation through the sales of his stunning bracelets with hand crafted Rhino beads on them

@covenant.gears – An artisan creator from Indonesia, who creates the most stunning and creative hand made paracord beads and shackles, made of brass, copper, bronze and silver

How to Enter

You will need an Instagram account, if you don’t have one then I’m sorry but if you want to take part, and be in with the chance of winning hundreds of pounds worth of prizes, then you’re going to have to get on Instagram.  It’s really easy and you won’t regret it, there’s so many stunning paracorders on there and daily paracord inspiration will pop up in your feed.

Once you’ve created your matching set, take some good photos of it, remember that you want to show it off in the best light to make the most of your entry.

Then post it onto Instagram with the following text at the top of your post:

  • For amateurs: “My matching set entry for #knotgames2018 @knotparacord Amateur Category”
  • For professionals: “My matching set entry for #knotgames2018 @knotparacord Professional Category”

  1. Hi folks,
Awesome first round, had a blast and I know it had to be hard judging.
My congrats to the winners! And to all for some wonderful entries. I know only first place can cash out… But could you consider an honorable mention for 2nd an 3RD, this would at least let a few more of us know that we were being looked at pretty hard and I think would mean a lot. Least I know it would for me if I was mentioned! Thanks for the opportunity…… Game On! An Good Luck ALL! 🙂

    • We are planning on doing a results post on here this weekend and we’re going to do special mentions to the short listed entries in both categories.
